URU Live Chat Launches New Format

URU Live Chat is pleased to launch a new format for the chat rooms for the Fountain Bevin that we set up to share with our fellow explorers here. This will offer a more immersive and familar environment for our fellow travelers with whom we share the continuing Journey from the closure of Myst Online to our future together. This chat room will offer a Fountain Bevin, The Beginners' Bevin, and a special events area and additonal Neighborhoods and areas will be added as useful and needed. We are very glad to welcome you, our fellow explorers and extend to all our warmest Greetings.

Our chat here is open to all who follow the path of exploration in the Cavern, we will be glad to assist you in setting up the chat room with you and are happy to offer an additional amenity, a special pack of Screen views that allows you to set you view during the chat to any of a number of beautiful aspects of the Bevins and Hoods in the Cavern that are so familar to us all. These views are available as a download here:

The views available include The Fountain Court, both Explorer and Greeter Views, the Clock Plaza in the Beginners Bevins complete with cones and fireymarbles, the Classroom, the Community Auditorium Room, the Water Garden and the view from the Scope Platform. These views are chosen to offer you a wide range of familar vistas. You may also enjoy using the dual views of the Classroom or the Auditorium to plan and particpate in events that can offer a simulation and immersion similar to what we enjoy in the Cavern for special events for these area views are from the viewpoint of both the presenter and the audience.

Instructions and Installation Directions: Please download the Zip file of views and select the views of your choice. Then enter the chat room via the account name and password that you have selected. Upon entering the first Fountain court Chat area, you may set your preferences and familiarize yourself with the controls. There is a button to the lower left called Options. Please select this and then note the transparency slider under the word Background. This sets the intensity of the background image that you wish to use. Then please activate the Effects button and you will be able to then Browse to the images you have selected and can then install them using the upload button, using either one image for all themes or one per theme. This will allow you to quickly change the background using the theme selection feature to allow you to cutomize your chat environment.

We are also offering a beatiful tour of MOUL and the Cavern, URU 2D Scrapbook which is available here for download so that you may visit the wonderful places that we all know so well. This was made with love by our fellow explorer Sophia under and agreement with Cyan. This will allow you to visit all the aress opened by the end of the first Season of MOUL in 2D form, similar to the original MYST. Please ask us if you need any assistance, Our site does not support download accelerators of any kind and limits total download traffic so that there may be bottlenecks.
